Is God omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent?

In response to my post on 24th about the lesson that i was involved in i received this email from a friend. I thought i'd put it up as it might add to the discussion already started. Check out the comments on the 24th post for a few ideas on answers to the question:

'If God is omnipotent and omnipresent he must be an evil tyrant because he must of created evil because he would know all of the decisions that would be made by people. Although we may have free will God knows the choices that we make and that most will choose to reject him, how therefore can God be good with this foreknowledge?'

Hi Lewis,
Hope all is well with you.
I tried to reply to your Blog but it would only let me send 300 Characters
which is nowhere near enough for me!!
A good book that I am sure would help you is "A case for faith" by Lee
Strobel. If you can't get a copy let me know as I have it and you can borrow
it.
The problem is that even though God is omnipotent and omnipresent He cannot do
everything. Which sounds daft but for example He cannot contradict Himself, He
cannot tell a lie, He cannot change etc.
In Genesis He created everything and it was "very good" but because Man had
free will there had to be the possibility of turning away from all of this
good. Man did but just that but it doesn't make God the instigator of evil.
Man's choice instigated evil into the world.
And it simply doesn't stand up to consider God to be an evil tyrant when in
spite of our bad choices He gave His Son so that we could be reconciled with
Him.
Evil in the world has huge impact beyond just us as we read in Romans 8 the
whole creation "groans" as a result of Mans fall.
Obviously you have a big challenge with this young man, I am certain the book
will help it is a very good read and you might even consider getting him a
copy once you have seen it.
Hope it all goes well and will be praying for you to have the wisdom and grace
to deal with this.
Best wishes
David

Not sure that the reply fully answers the question but it does add to the discussion so many thanks to David for taking the time.
