Lent

Ship of fools have some different ways of thinking about and being involved with the lenten period, see them here.

Jo and myself have decided to give up any drink other than water for the period. I'm not a huge one for giving up things but we decided that this would be good not only in terms of identifying with Jesus' time in the desert but also in terms of our health. Actually perhaps giving up water would be more in keeping with the desert.

Whatever this will be a real challenge. I am also going to work my way through Rob Bell's Velvet Elvis.
