The Lord's Prayer

I have a lead a couple of groups this week where we have looked at the Lord's prayer. I have asked them to put it into modern day language giving the example in 'the cockney bible'. Here is some of the versions that they have come up with.

"Our father upstairs,
dad'll be your name,
your yard come,
come son dat will be done,
on earth as it is upstairs,
give us 2day r daily sarnies,
forgive us what we owe,
as we also forgive the lenders,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil geezer."

"To Dad in heaven,
nuff respect to your name,
may good stuff happen,
just in the way that you want it to,
make everything like it is in heaven,
provide us with food and drink,
please hear us when we say sorry,
as we forgive those that have been horrid to us,
and help us not to do wrong stuff,
but take us away from the devil,
coz your kingdom is great and filled with super natural power,
and let it be so."
