Visiting MP

It was good to have our local MP David Burrowes along to our youth club on Friday evening. He got involved and played football, table tennis and pool with a number of the young people.

Known Knowns

I was reminded of this piece of brilliance from Donald Rumsfeld after the political events in the USA yesterday. The Daily Mirror today published an 'i told you so' after their headline after the re-election of Bush. They are know claiming that America is coming around to their way and probably a fair few others way of thinking.

Politics

I was at a meeting with our local MP David Burrowes yesterday. He is a Christian and was meeting with church leaders to talk about how national and local issues could effect us and any concerns that we may have. Anyway my mind was wandering in what was a fairly negative meeting. I like the guy, i have met him a few times and like what he's doing locally. The thing is he is a Conservative! My question is whether you should support someone because they share the same faith and are doing good things locally when at the same time have huge issues with the bigger picture and their political affiliation.
