Stop bullying and Olympic Athletes
A team of us from n:flame went into a secondary school the other day to do a workshop called 'Stop'. This is our anti-bullying initiative and is usually done with one class. This time however we had to carry this out in front of 240 year 7 students. As we arrived the staging and chairs that we had been promised hadn't materialised which involved a manic stage set up in the hour running up to the start. We had a good time although it was pretty tough going. The which made it more fun was that Dalton Grant the former GB high jumper was watching as he had been helping out at the schools sports day. To be fair out of the team it was only me who new who he was.
Anyway it looks as though it was probably my final appearance as Patrick as i am stepping down from the team as of September to take on some new things. I love doing 'stop' but i'm sure the year outers we have on board from Sept will do a great job and take it to a higher level as well as being able to run workshops more frequently.
